
Andy Heying joined Gilcrest/Jewett in 2021 and brings more than 30 years of experience in the building materials industry. “I got into the industry thanks to a friend who was managing a lumber yard,” Andy says. “I began working as a driver and in the yard.” That start in 1990 led to a long and successful career helping customers find reliable, high-quality materials for their projects.
No two days are the same. Andy spends his time working on estimates, helping customers in the store, and answering a steady stream of calls. “It’s always something different, and that keeps it interesting,” he says. His focus is on making sure customers get what they need to keep their jobs moving smoothly.
When asked what customers should know more about, Andy points to Wolf Cabinets—a dependable, well-designed product line he recommends often.
Andy is described as fair, honest, and trustworthy, and his approach to sales reflects that consistency. “I try to learn from my mistakes and make the best of any situation,” he says. “I try to treat others with respect and earn their respect.”
He’s proud to have surpassed $2 million in sales, a milestone that reflects both his persistence and his loyal customer base.
Outside of work, Andy enjoys woodworking, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.
