Nicholas Campbell joined Gilcrest/Jewett in 2025 as Eastern Iowa Sales Manager. Though new to the company, he brings more than 30 years of experience in the building materials industry and a deep appreciation for the process of turning ideas into finished structures. 
 
“I have always been fascinated by the building process,” he says. “Not that I understand all of it, but over the 32 years that I have been in the industry, I have picked up a thing or two.” 
 
In his current role, Nicholas supports both branches and sales representatives, helping guide operations and growth. “A typical day gets my hands in about everything that my branches and reps are into,” he explains. 
 
When asked what product customers should know more about, Nicholas highlights James Hardie Siding—a brand he believes delivers consistent quality and performance across a wide range of projects. 
 
He describes his best skills as problem-solving, analyzing growth potential, and keeping things fun, an approach that makes him both a steady leader and a relatable teammate. 
 
Nicholas is described as casual, fun, and creative, and his personal philosophy reflects his straightforward leadership style: “Do it right the first time so there doesn’t need to be a second.” 
 
Outside of work, Nicholas stays busy with family and friends, tackling honey-do lists, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs, and playing a little golf when he can.
