This month, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Bailey Ransom, one of the talented designers behind many of the homes our customers bring to life!
Bailey has been with Gilcrest/Jewett Lumber Company for 11 years and serves as a Designer/Drafter. Her typical day involves planning and coordinating with builders, homeowners, and structural engineers to develop custom residential home designs in Revit, including floor plans, elevations, roof layouts, and other construction documents.
What Bailey enjoys most about her job is seeing the final product come to life.
“There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a vision become reality and knowing our clients will build their lives and create lasting memories in the homes we’ve designed.”
When asked what she likes most about working with her team, Bailey shared that it’s the depth of knowledge throughout the company.
“The opportunity to learn is endless, and I enjoy working alongside people who are always willing to share their expertise.”
One accomplishment she’s especially proud of is building strong relationships with clients and earning their trust. No matter the size of the project, she finds it rewarding to know clients have confidence in her and the team to bring their vision to life.
While she loves working directly with clients, her favorite department to collaborate with is structural engineers and truss designers.
“Understanding how a design will come together structurally in a real-world setting is incredibly rewarding, and seeing those pieces fit together is what excites me most about the process.”
