This week, we’re excited to recognize Cindy Jones from Gilcrest/Jewett Lumber Company!
Cindy has been a valued member of the GJ team for 16 years. She began her career stocking doors, then moved to the Interior Door Line, and today she specializes in building exterior doors.
When asked what a typical day looks like, Cindy’s answer was simple: “Busy—there’s always something to do!”
One of the things Cindy enjoys most about her job is working independently while listening to music and being part of the exterior door crew. She also appreciates having a supportive supervisor and team environment.
An accomplishment she’s especially proud of is continuing to improve her skills with transoms and larger doors, taking on more challenging projects with confidence.
Her favorite product to work with? Brickmold!

- Favorite hobby/weekend activity: Diamond painting and walking at Raccoon River Park
- Favorite place traveled: The Texas coast along the Gulf of Mexico in Texas
- Favorite local restaurant: Perkins Restaurant & Bakery (breakfast every day!)
- Go-to lunch order: Grilled chicken sandwich with a pickle
- Favorite seasons: Spring and Fall
- Bucket list: Retire and enjoy a few years of relaxation and fun
